Cadipietra (Steinhaus) is directly situated at the lifts of the ski resort Monte Chiusetta (Klausberg im Ahrntal) in the sunny lowlands surrounded by pastures and rising spruce forests at 1.054 m above sea level.

The ski resort Monte Chiusetta is an ideal starting point for long excursions into the Cima Dura mountain group and the Zillertaler Alps.
In winter it always has a lot of snow and therefore offers great slopes for skiers and snowboarders with modern ski lifts.
In summer you can discover the back part of the valley by bike or on foot on one of the many walking paths or hiking trails.

The manor Gassegg, the townhall and other buildings used to be important reloading points for the copper ore at the end of the valley. In Predoi copper ore was mined until 1894. The administration centre of the mine used to be here in Cadipietra.

The Mining Museum in a Grain Store of Cadipietra is housed in the mine’s grain store (Kornkasten) is very interesting, it explains the history of mining of the Valle Aurina valley.
