From the village of Siusi a shuttle bus service and a modern and panoramic lift, accessible to persons in wheelchairs, take you to Kompatsch.

Route length

Type of trip

The route winds through the gentle undulations of the largest mountain plateau in Europe. The Sassolungo, the Sassopiatto and the Sciliar from the Dolomites which are the crown around the large pasture area. The route takes place on a road with limited traffic and on a natural forest road with slightly wavy pattern. Description

From Kompatsch on the Alpe di Siusi (1835 m) , follow the road passing near the chairlift Panorama that leads to Saltria. Once you reach the vast pastures Palù Granda (1860 m) , turn left and after a short climb, turn right onto a natural road following the signs for Malga Sanon.  The road passes pastures, dominated by the rock massive Sassolungo, and goes past some huts. Before the downhill stretch , the path separates to the left and passes some wooden walkways that lead to the nearby Malga Sanon (1848 m) .
To return to Kompatsch, follow the same route.
