Starting point

From Bolzano follow the Brenner highway to the village of Ponte Gardena, where you go to the Val Gardena valley. Climb up to the Passo Gardena and then come down in Val Badia to the town of La Villa (1420 m). In the direction of San Cassiano, before crossing the bridge over the Rio Gadera, leave the main road where, right after a bend and a wooden bridge , you can park.

The Val Badia valley borders on the natural parks "Puez - Odle" and "Fanes - Senes - Braies". At the edges of these parks small villages are situated surrounded by vast pastures, forests and the impressive Dolomites.
The route takes place between La Villa and Corvara (1574 m).

Description

To the left of the river Gadera, marked by a cartel , begins the forest road that leads to Corvara. Exceeded the first 100 meters of increased climb, the path goes along the woods at the side of a stream in a moderate and steady climb. At 2.3 km you will cross a wooden bridge and continue on the other side for another 2 km until you reach the highway around Corvara .
At this point you can decide to go back following the same route, or, after crossing the road (very busy), to continue on a marked footpath for another 300 meters until you reach the center of Corvara . Follow the same itinerary to get back to La Villa.
