From Selva Gardena you can reach the Ladin valleys Alta Badia and Val di Fassa by passing the Gardena pass and the Sella pass. The village also has a modern ice rink, a indoor tennis court, a bowling alley and a riding school. In summer the Sella Rondo transforms itself into a vast and beautiful hiking area with many beautiful walking paths, giving you a magnificent view on the natural landscape. The minnesinger Oswald von Wolkenstein is very famous, he was one of the gentlemen of Villandro that named themselves after the castle Wolkenstein from 1370 onwards.
